SOM Tech’s Inclusive Design Program supports the School of Medicine’s Differences Matter initiative through the inclusive design of programs, products, and services. It seeks to share best practices and processesacross inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility by providing a human-centered participatory design approach and diverse perspectives.
The Inclusive Design Program provides you with:
- Access to product accessibility audits and review by an advisory board
- Helps you meet UCSF inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility goals
- Contribution to positive social impact
BEST PRACTICES
The Inclusive Design Program establishes and shares best practices and processes for ensuring accessibility across all functions including engineering development, agile, and QA. The tools, processes, and policies support enterprise-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
PARTNERSHIPS
We aim to support faculty and increase engagement of under-invested communities while cultivating relationships with Bay Areacommunity-based organizations (CBOs).
INCLUSION
The program seeks out and includes diverse perspectives and abilities through participatory design activities and practices ongoing usability testing with people with disabilities.
